About Us
We are a team of experts that tailor travel experiences for your clients.
Our focus is not on hotels or transport – unless they, too, are experiences in themselves. We’ve been diligently exploring Norway, connecting with local suppliers and experiences since 2005. Our team knows these suppliers personally, ensuring quality, safety, and a commitment to sustainability, which we’re more than ready to share with you.
Embracing Sustainability in Travel
In the age of global travel, minimizing carbon emissions is undeniably challenging. However, this very challenge underscores the critical need to prioritize sustainability in other aspects of our journeys.
To justify the ecological footprint associated with travel, it’s essential to recognize the profound value of exploring the world for the sake of peace and cultural understanding. It’s through connecting with people and immersing ourselves in diverse cultures that we foster global harmony. This is best achieved through personal, small group, or private experiences, which facilitate meaningful human connections.
Our commitment to sustainability begins with a core principle: focusing on small, local suppliers. Supporting these grassroots enterprises not only ensures the preservation of indigenous cultures and traditions but also significantly reduces the environmental impact of mass tourism. We go the extra mile by actively seeking out suppliers who possess sustainable certifications or strategies, adding an extra layer of assurance to our commitment.
In the pursuit of sustainable travel, “staying longer in one place” emerges as a guiding mantra. By encouraging travelers to explore fewer destinations more deeply, we not only reduce our ecological footprint but also provide a richer, more profound experience for the traveler. This approach nourishes the body and soul, fostering a deeper connection with the places we visit.
In Norway, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a way of life. We proudly champion the use of sustainable transportation methods whenever possible. With the world’s highest per capita ownership of electric cars, Norway leads the way in eco-friendly travel.
Norway Insights is dedicated to making a tangible difference in the world of sustainable travel. We’re not only certified by the National certification Eco-light, but we’re also actively pursuing international certification through Travel Life. These certifications underscore our unwavering commitment to sustainability at both the local and global levels.
In the pursuit of sustainability, we also take into account the logistics of your travel. When considering direct flights versus flight hubs, we prioritize convenience and efficiency, ensuring that your journey aligns with our sustainability values.
At Norway Insights, we believe that sustainability in travel isn’t just a concept; it’s a responsibility. It’s about exploring the world in a way that preserves it for generations to come, fosters cultural understanding, and enriches the lives of both travelers and the communities they visit. Together, we can embark on a sustainable journey that leaves a positive impact on the world.
Meet the team
Anne
I love to travel and I love to travel responsible. I also learned how important it is to have local expertise to find the best adventures and experiences. I am passionate about helping each traveler find the right itinerary for them in Norway. My most unique experiences when traveling have never been something I saw through a window and have never been something I bought! The people I met, the stories they told, the food I tasted, or the activities I did – that is what made my travels.
Turid
I have great love of nature, culture, and the meeting of people. Together with my bachelor in intercultural studies, this makes a perfect base as a creator of the travellers dream adventure.
It is a joy to create the most memorable and enjoyable tour for our guests and with my knowledge of the culture and nature in Norway, I strive to make sure that there is a little bit of Norway stuck in their harts, when they go back home.
Marianne
I took my bachelors in Outdoor life, nature- and culture guiding in 2010. And have since then explored different ways to work in and with nature.
Combining my love for nature, passion for sustainability and creativity I will strategize to give you the best of Norway in the form which is best for nature.
Mathias
Growing up I have done a fair share of traveling both in Norway as well as internationally. I love exploring new places, new cultures and best of all, meeting new people. These experiences ignited a desire to share the joy of travel with others. Creating unique experiences is a great outlet for my Norwegian pride. As a digital marketer/webdesigner, I’ve found the perfect fusion of my creative skills and my wanderlust.
