The tour starts at the Railway Station in Bergen Sunday morning at 08:43. In Bergen, it’s the city itself that is the attraction – and of course the old Hanseatic Warf “Bryggen”. This is a live cultural treasure that’s on UNESCO world heritage list.
The trip will go from Bergen to Voss by train and from there further on to Myrkdalen by bus. Myrkdalen is the largest ski resort in Western Norway - with family-friendly ski areas, slopes with all levels of difficulty, terrain parks, ski cross slopes and great off-piste terrain.
2-day lift pass is included in the price. Ski rental (alpine or cross country) and instructor is additional.
Accommodation: Myrkdalen Hotel
After breakfast we will go skiing in Myrkdalen again. You can choose between down hill and cross country.
In the afternoon there will be a bus ride to Gudvangen. From Gudvangen to Flåm you will travel by boat on the UNESCO- heritage fjord - Nærøyfjord.
The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep mountains with snow covered tops that stretch up to 1800 meters above sea level. Waterfalls cascade down the mountains and picturesque villages dot the landscape. This is an area that is featured on the UNESCO world heritage list and is considered one of the world's most beautiful fjord landscapes.
Dinner will be served at Ægir. Here it will be served Ægir Vikingdinner with a 5-course beer- and food menu.
Accommodation: Flåmsbrygga Hotel
After breakfast it’s possible to do some shopping on your own in Flåm.
From Flåm we will go on an impressive winter fjord safari through the Aurlandsfjord and into the world heritage fjord Nærøyfjord. The knowledgeable guides will tell local stories about the life by the fjord. On the way back from Nærøyfjord we will disembark in the small goat cheese village, Undredal.
The next highlight this day will be the Flåm Railway - an amazing train journey that will take you 20 precipitous kilometers between the fjord-village Flåm and the high mountain of Myrdal. The Flåm Railway is one of Norway’s largest tourist attractions and the journey will take approximately one hour.
The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest standard-gauge railway lines in the world and have a height difference of 865,5 meters. The train runs through spectacular scenery.
