A 3-day winter trip. Fjord safari to the Nærøyfjord, snowshoeing to Stegastein and the Flåm Railway. In the winter, you can combine city break with a trip to the fjords in winter suit.
Bergen is a hanseatic city and is considered to be one of Norway’s most beautiful cities, which makes it worth a visit.
You travel on your own by train to Voss, bus to Gudvangen. Form here you will go on a winter fjord cruise and experience one of the most beautiful and popular fjord areas in Norway, the UNESCO world heritage area in the Nærøyfjord. The narrow and spectacular fjord is surrounded by steep mountains with snow-covered peaks that stretch up to 1800 meters above sea level.
In Flåm there will be a bus tour to the viewpoint Stegastein. Here you will try snowshoeing. In Flåm you will go on a winter fjord safari before you are going back to Bergen by train.
The world’s most beautiful train journey, The Flåm Railway, provides a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent Norwegian mountain scenery. The train ride will take you through a snow-covered Flåm Valley – a true winter wonderland. The journey starts at Flåm only two metres above sea level. and ends in Myrdal station, 866 metres above sea level. From Myrdal, you continue by train to Bergen.
In Bergen, it’s the city itself that is the attraction – and of course the old Hanseatic Warf “Bryggen”. This is a live cultural treasure that’s on UNESCO world heritage list.
The tour starts from the Railway Station in Bergen at 08:43 in the morning.
From Bergen, you travel by train to Voss and by bus from Voss to Gudvangen.
From Gudvangen to Flåm you will join a fjord cruise on the UNESCO-fjord Nærøyfjord.
The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep mountains with snow covered tops that stretch up to 1800 meters above sea level. Water falls cascade down the mountains and picturesque villages dot the landscape. This is an area that is featured on the UNESCO world heritage list and is considered one of the world's most beautiful fjord landscapes.

Today you will experience what the winter is like in the Aurlandsfjord, the UNESCO listed Nærøyfjord and the charming village Undredal.
On this 2,5 hours’ safari in open RIB boat, you will experience the magic Norwegian winter fjords surrounded by snow covered peaks and frozen waterfalls. Enjoy the breath-taking scenery and listen to stories shared by your personal guide, about the life on the mountain farms, trolls, other mythological creatures and the Vikings.
Dinner will be served at Ægir BryggeriPub. Enjoy the heat from the fireplace and the relaxing atmosphere, and the popular Ægir Viking plank for dinner – a 5-course meal with beer tasting.

Today you will start with a morning snowshoe hiking trip around Stegastein. On this trip, you can admire the view over the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord.
The tour begins in Flåm by car/bus, via Aurland to Stegastein view point. The guide will introduce you to the art of walking on snowshoes, outstanding “footwear” in powdery snow. You make figures and formations in the snow as you walk in the open landscape surrounded by pine trees. You will get a warm drink and hear stories about the life by the fjord and on the mountain farms.
The next highlight is the train journey from Flåm to Myrdal. The Flåm Railway has been named one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal Station. The journey displays the very best aspects of Western Norway's stunning scenery.
From Myrdal, you continue by train back to Bergen. Arrival Bergen 6 o'clock in the afternoon.
The company will provide flotation suits, hats, gloves, goggles and pullover boots. We do wish to point out the necessity of dressing warm with wool and fleece and warm, comfortable shoes. If you are not dressed warmly enough you will get the option of hiring extra clothing so that you will have a comfortable and pleasant experience.
